n1u proved that young gamers and financial products could coexist. UIN took that insight further, a B2B platform that lets financial institutions plug gaming goods and digital assets directly into their loyalty programs, without building the infrastructure themselves.

Bridging Financial Ecosystems to Gaming Culture

As Product Design Manager at UIN, I led the creation of the Gaming Hub — an API-first solution that integrates digital gaming goods into financial apps, loyalty programs, and e-commerce platforms — and the backoffice platform that lets clients manage it all.

The challenge:

Traditional loyalty programs no longer resonate with younger generations. Points and discounts don't drive sustained engagement with Gen Z, and financial institutions struggle to connect meaningfully with gaming culture. Managing and deploying digital gaming assets requires specialized knowledge most companies don't have, and building technical integrations with gaming ecosystems is beyond most organizations' capabilities.

Approach & process:

We built on validated insights from n1u's experience connecting financial services with gaming audiences. Through product strategy workshops, we defined value propositions and business model frameworks, and mapped user journeys for both B2B clients and end-users. The design process prioritized simplifying complex inventory management through an intuitive backoffice, while developing a flexible API architecture that enabled plug-and-play integration with existing systems.

Solution:

A comprehensive backoffice platform where clients can manage their inventory of digital goods, create custom bundles, and monitor real-time inventory and engagement metrics. A single API integration provides access to digital gaming goods, with intuitive interfaces for both administrative users and end-customers, and scalable systems built to support a growing inventory and evolving marketplace.

Impact:

Successfully built and launched an MVP marketplace based on validated learnings from n1u, establishing UIN as a technological bridge connecting financial services to gaming culture and laying the foundation for future growth and feature expansion.
